Snapping Turtle caught by LOONACIDAL fishing in New Jersey on 07/15/09
Snapping Turtle caught by LOONACIDAL fishing on Wednesday July 15, 2009 at 16:09 near Bordentown in Burlington County, New Jersey (NJ), United States North America

Caught this snapper on cut white perch in Crosswicks Creek in Bordentown. Unhooked and released.Do not know the weight but I could only lift him for about 3 seconds at a time.

Don't lift snappers by the tail like this. Their tail is an extension of their spinal cord and if you do this, you can dislocate vertebrae and break their back.
