2.6 lb. Striped Bass (striper) caught by Arizona Wildlife Outfitters fishing in Lake Mead in Nevada on 05/30/09
22.5" / 2.6 lb. Striped Bass (striper) caught by Arizona Wildlife Outfitters fishing on Saturday May 30, 2009 at 09:54 in Lake Mead 12.27 km from Meadview in Mohave County, Nevada (NV), United States North America using a one inch piece of anchovy a Baitfish

We went out on Saturday night from South Cove and started fishing at 9:30 p.m.

Had to quit at 2 a.m. as ALL three of our fish ice chests were FULL!

Our best weighed 2 .6 pounds but we had a number that were in the two pound range, which for Lake Mead is great!

All total we had 115 stripers and one lone channel cat.

Another great night on Lake Mead!

Hope this fishing bonanza continues.

We drove all the way from Fresno, CA out to Kingsman, AZ to fish with Don. We took over 200 fish in one night. If you're going out with Don then he'll put you on some fish.
The lodgeing was great as well was the food provided by Ms. Paige.
Here in California you can only keep 2 fish of 18 inches + and that's it. To catch 200+ fish in one night and be able to keep them was unbelieveable.
Now all though we California boys had a few tricks of our own to show Mr. Martin, we both learned a lot from eachother. I will be heading back in a Summer or 2.
If any one reading this is thinking about taking a trip with Don then by all means DO IT!
I am especially saying this to my fellow Californians who have never expierenced something like this. It will blow your mind and the price is right.

My remark was neither self-righteous nor snide it was my opinion which I am entitled too. But I see it upset you to the point you took the childish route and resorted to name calling so you have a good day sir and may your lines stay tight!

Hey boys, just so you know there is no limit on striped bass in Lake Mead IF they are under 20 inches! And there is a 20 fish limit on those OVER 20 inches. Over 95% of the fish caught are UNDER 20 inches!

Just so you know, the AZ G&F Dept. in Region III says they estimate the population of stripers in Lake Mead at 2-6 MILLION!

The fish there are starving to death, a lot we catch are so weak they die almost as soon as we reel them in.

PLUS THE GAME & FISH DEPT'S OF BOTH AZ & NV ENCOURAGE ANGLERS ANGLERS TO CATCH AND KEEP ALL THE STRIPERS THEY WANT!

So please before you get too self righteous and make snide comments by guys like Mr. McFarland, learn what the limits are and what the status of the fishery is before you comment and then look like a fool!

Do you really think I'd post these photos of these catches if they weren't legal?

You can't imagine how much fun we have catching those fish! And they eat well too, we fillet and eat them all!

Nope we don't have the east coast monster stripers like some of you guys do, but we make due with what we have!
