43.0" Red Drum caught by Ken Cooper fishing on Sunday April 30, 2017 at 20:21 5.33 km from Buxton in Dare County, North Carolina (NC), United States North America using a 7/0 hook and fishfinder drum rig 6 oz a Baitfish

A trip with 15 guys to the Hatteras point. Surf fishing on the beach with cars and a good group. there for 5 days of fishing (2 days of travel). We got big blues, big Red drum, sharks, and rays. This was my best and of course its the shark. I am also showing off my good buddy's best Blue fish, and the best Red Drum. I was only able to land this one fighter shark, a small blue on metal, and a tiny whiting on shrimp. I lost 2 fish of unknown kind, that just hit like a locomotive and ran. They broke 30 pound braid and cut through a 30 pound shock cord.
