46.0" Red Drum caught by Daniel Cooper fishing on Sunday May 01, 2016 at 14:46 5.51 km from Buxton in Dare County, North Carolina (NC), United States North America using a Fish finder bottom rig 6 oz sinker a Baitfish

Had a chance to get a way with the guys to Cape Hatteras. I fished for 5 days and caught Skates, sharks, rays up to 45 pounds, and some small whiting. However the elusive Bull Red Drum eluded me! Saw 6 caught and my good buddy's son got this one. This fish, although not caught by me, is so strong and magnificent I just had to post it. We were out at the point which is long, but only about 100 feet wide as it sticks out into the ocean and Diamond Shoals.
