The Center For Animal Behavioral Research : GREENWOOD LAKE, N.J. MUSKY FISHING Video

42.0" / 20.0 lb. Muskellunge (Muskie) caught by Jeff Loy fishing on Monday August 01, 2011 at 01:39

THE WORLD'S WORST MUSKY FISHING VIDEO.

How do you totally miss the fish activity and still avoid being skunked?

Just get on the water at the crack of noon, in the middle of summer on a scorcher of a day.

It's easy.....just fish with me!

This is for my brother, Fred. Happy Birthday!!! I wish you could have been here today.

I really miss all the busted tackle, destroyed electronics, hooks embedded in favorite body parts, lost fish and general mayhem and destruction that you and I share together.

You and I together are truly less than the sum of our parts!

Regardless, we will fish together soon. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

It was a tiger musky. It had slightly rounded fins.

That is good to know. I never fished it for muskies when I lived in jersey. I fished the Monksville Res down the road. And when I discovered the Northern Pike in the Passaic River, I focused on those (I prefer rivers to lakes).
Keep the pics coming - we don;t get enough musky reports on the site!

Hello Henry V. Thank you for your comments. Greenwood Lake during the weekdays this season has been nearly empty of boaters and fishermen. Perhaps gas prices are the culprit. The lake is actually simple because all the deep water is in the northern half of the lake and all the structures are simple bars that reach out to the deep water basin. The bass, walleyes and muskies are all good sized and trolling is a quick way to find the structures and then it's easy to cast to the fish. Most people seem to catch the muskies casting the shallows with big lures.

I know Greenwood Lake! That's a busy lake, and tough to fish. Nice work!
