27.0" / 5.0 lb. Red Drum caught by Chris DeMartine fishing on Monday December 27, 1999 at 21:50 near Osprey in Sarasota County, Florida (FL), United States North America using a Large Live Shrimp On 1/2 Ounce Jig a Shrimp

Caught this right under the bridge at Blackburn Point. One of the only operable swivel bridges in the world. They call them 'Redfish', but the classification of Red Drum is correct. This is a popular species in South Florida, and apparently tastes very good. I showed this one off, then released him (or her... not sure how to check). I wish I had taken a picture though.
